Old Wives Tales About Pregnancy And Gender Selection

Old wives tales about pregnancy and baby gender selection have been around as long as there have been “old wives” and women getting pregnant! lol Are they reliable as baby gender predictors? Well, I would imagine that many of them have a basis in fact, although some seem so outlandish it’s hard to imagine how! I’m going to give you every old wives tale I can find, will they predict your next baby’s gender? I’ll let you decide. These are supplied for entertainment purposes only of course. While I don’t put much faith in their accuracy, they can be a whole lot of fun at your next baby shower or get together. So enjoy!

You’re Having A Baby Girl If:

Your face breaks out more than usual.

You won’t eat the heel of a loaf of bread.

Your breasts have really blossomed.

You are craving fruit.

Your belly looks like a watermelon.

You face south when you sleep.

You add your age at the time of conception and the number of the month you conceived and the sum is an odd number.

You suffered with morning sickness in the early months of your pregnancy.

You are gaining weight in your hips and rear.

You develop red highlights in your hair.

You pick up a key by the small end.

Your face gets fatter and rounder.

You don’t seem to look good pregnant.

Your nipples get lighter.

Your urine is a dull color.

You eat garlic and you don’t smell like it.

A toddler boy shows interest in the mother-
to-be.

You ask to see her hands and she shows them palms up.

You dream of having a boy.

If you are moody during pregnancy it’s a girl.

If your left breast is larger it’s a girl.

If the mothers age at conception and month of conception are both even or odd it’s a girl.

If the father was the more aggressive partner
at conception the baby will be a girl.

If the mom-to-be rests on her right side the baby will be a girl.

Have the expectant mother pick a number match the number to the corresponding letter, then have her pick the first name that comes to mind, boy’s name means boy, girls name means girl.

Your Having A Baby Boy If:

Your belly looks like a baseball.

You are carrying extra weight out front.

You crave protein, meat, cheese, milk.

Your feet are always cold.

The hair on your legs grows faster.

Your hands feel dry all the time.

Your urine is bright yellow.

You face north when you sleep.

Your nose seems to be getting bigger.

You have more headaches than usual.

You add your age at the time of conception and the number of the month you conceived and the sum is an even number.

Everybody says you look good pregnant.

Your nipples get darker.

Your face seems thinner and longer.

You pick up a key by the big end.

You eat garlic and can smell it on your skin.

A toddler boy shows no interest in you.

You ask to see her hands and she shows them palms down.

You dream of having a girl.

If you are not moody during pregnancy.

If your right breast is bigger its a boy.

If the mothers age at conception and the month of conception not the  same (one is an even number and one is odd.)

If the mom-to-be was the more aggressive partner at conception the baby will be a boy.

Have the mom-to-be pick a number than match the number to the corresponding letter than have her the first name that comes to mind, a boy’s name means a boy and a girl’s name means a girl.

If you want a boy put a blue bow under your pillow.

  • Very informative blog I enjoyed reading and all am trying to absorb all the information. My wife and I are expecting are first baby and are trying to read as much information as possible on parenting.

  • my sister had a hard time getting pregnant because she has this abnormality in her uterus.:,*

  • Far more than anything my husband and I wanted a baby, we had been trying for a year with no achievement. My husband bought every book and program on the marketplace . We were testing for ovulation everyday and saving up our baby generating time for just when that little stick turned pink. Our next step was infertility treatment, we had been avoiding it mainly because our insurance would not cover it and for IVF and everything that came with it , we had been searching at close to $30,000.00. Until we finally discovered some thing that worked, This really is what worked for us and I am proud to tell other men and women about it The Pregnancy Miracle. I hope with all my heart this helps you and like me you too realized the joy of having a child.
